Each letter, shape, and base is sanded to a smooth finish. Puzzles can be used both for play and to display in a nursery, living room, or playroom as decor.

Each puzzle is crafted with maple, cherry, or oak hardwood and sealed with food-grade mineral oil to seal the wood and bring out the natural wood grain colors. The pieces are kid-friendly and safe for the little ones who continue to put things in their mouths. 2 different kinds of wood in each puzzle to give contrasting colors between the board and letters.
